Investigation  facilities  –  

For early diagnosis and timely management of various Paediatric Neurological disorders it is essential to have backup of efficient investigations facilities. We are having state of the art facilities of the Electrophysiology Lab and Pathology Laboratory at RICN.

1. Electrophysiology Lab  – we are having facilities for following investigations,  being performed by an experienced team of senior technicians with the use of state of the art equipment.

• EEG study  – for diagnosis of epilepsy
• Video EEG study  – (for hours to days)  – for confirmation of Epilepsy or to rule out non-epileptic movement disorder and to help taking decision of Epilepsy surgery
• EMG / NCV study – for diagnosis of various nerve and muscle disease
• RNS study – for diagnosis of Myasthenia gravis
• BERA study – for assessment of hearing ability
• VEP – flash & Pattern shift VEP – for assessment of cortical visual impairment.
• Ganzfield (mini) ERG – only centre in Gujarat – for assessment of Retinal function 
• Flash ERG –  for assessment of Retinal function in small children
• SSEP study – helps in diagnosis of specific type of spinal cord disorders

1. Pathology Laboratory   –  NABH certified 

• • • Routine blood investigations like – CBC, Electrolytes, Renal function & Liver function test
    • Metabolic tests – Plasma TMS, Urine GCMS, CSF and blood Lactate, Ammonia etc.
    • Genetic tests  – Karyotype, CGH Microarray, Clinical exome sequencing, Whole exome sequencing
